The Marenke Dance - Generation Game (1991)

This grand finale game from Ep 7 of the 2nd series of The Generation Game saw the remaining two teams do a marenke dance off with Bruce & Rosemary, having first been given a demonstration by Brucie's wife Wilmelia and her partner (nicknamed Paxo by Brucie). It's quite an intimate dance and it's surprising to hear Brucie say to one chap "Go on, go for the bottom. Grab her bottom" when he has to get to grips with Rosemary Ford. While the first chap is somewhat reticent about that, the other contestant has no such qualms, even grabbing hold of his mother in law by mistake when encouraged by Brucie. Watching these old re-runs of The Generation Game has certainly given a new perspective on the show. It really WAS a little cheeky back then, and would do so throughout it's run with Brucie in the early 1990's.
