Tom's Midnight Garden (1989) (Episode 5)

Part 5 of 6 of the children's drama. Tom is horrified to find he cannot get back to his own time, but upon waking in Hatty's bedroom he is surprised to find himself back in his time of the 1950's. And he's even more disturbed when his Aunt Gwen informs him that he will have to return home soon. As he tries to make use of the time he has got, he quizzes his aunt and uncle about the district's past and time travel in order to make sense of things. When he goes back into the garden he discovers it is now winter and Hatty is older and recovered from her fall. However, Tom seems thinner to her and worried that he may disappear he asks her to find out what the pictures mean on the grandfather clock in order to figure out how to get back to her time.
